Primary Athletics
PRIMARY INTERSCHOOL ATHLETICS CARNIVAL
On Monday the 12th of October, Goulburn Valley Grammar School was represented by fourteen Grade 5 and 6 students at the Zone Athletic Championships. These students had recently attained outstanding results in the Primary Interschool Athletics Carnival which was held on the 6th and 7th October. The results from the Zone Athletics Championships are as follows:
Ben - 11 Years 800m - 3rd Place
Matilda - 11 Years 800m - 4th Place and 11 Years High Jump - 4th Place
Lucy - 11 Years 800m - 5th Place and 11 Years 200m - 6th Place
Molly - 10 Years 200m - 2nd Place and 10 Years Shot Put - 3rd Place
Lachlan - 11 Year Shot Put - 2nd Place
Tahlia - 12/13 Years 200m - 5th Place and 12/13 Year 800m - 5th Place
Olivia - 12/13 Years 200m - 6th Place and 12/13 Years 800m - 3rd Place
Denya - 12/13 Years Long Jump - 1st Place and 12/13 Years Discus - 1st Place
Grace - 12/13 Years High Jump - 1st Place
Saibal - 12/13 Years 100m - 5th Place and 12/13 Years 200m - 1st Place
Girls 11 Years Relay – 2nd Place
Matilda Burston, Moyo Olalere, Lucy Steinfort and Jorja Mitropoulos
Girls 12/13 Years Relay - 3rd Place
Tahlia, Isabelle, Eliza and Denya
The following students competed at the Regional Championship held at McEwen Reserve on Thursday 15th October. This is the largest contingent of students who have ever represented GVGS at the Regional Athletics Championships.

Congratulations to Denya and Saibal who both came first place in Long Jump and 200m respectively. Denya and Saibal will now represent the school and the region at state level.
